Difference between cryogenic storage tank and plastic water tank

When many people work in factories, they find that ordinary factories use low-temperature storage tanks to store certain raw materials. Some people may think, why use such high-cost storage tanks instead of plastic water tanks? It turns out that there is a very big difference between the two. If you want to understand the difference between the two, you must take a good look at the following introduction.

1.Complex construction of low temperature storage tank
Because the low temperature storage tank itself bears greater responsibility, it will use more complex operations during processing, and the water tank is generally reinforced with the simplest ribs. Therefore, from this aspect, the plastic water tank the quality of the cryogenic storage tank is much worse.

2.Storage function
Generally, the storage materials of plastic water tanks are ordinary tap water, which is not corrosive, and its own weight is relatively small, but the cryogenic storage tank is a vertical or horizontal storage tank for storing liquid oxygen, nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide and other media Type double-layer vacuum insulation tank. The inner liner is made of austenitic stainless steel; Q235-B, Q245R or 345R is selected according to national regulations. The inner and outer container sandwiches are filled with pearlescent sand or aluminum foil, thermal insulation cotton and vacuum. It is extremely corrosive, so it has higher requirements for low temperature storage tank materials.
3. Production process
Because the material stored in the low-temperature tank is more dangerous, its quality must be guaranteed, so the production process itself is more complicated than the plastic water tank. Not only is the welding process more demanding, but the material itself is also very strong, so its construction process is more complicated.

After reading this, you can understand why the storage tanks used in chemical plants are generally professional low-temperature tanks, rather than using water tanks to store chemicals, mainly because, mainly because the material and chemical properties of the plastic water tanks cannot Meet the needs of chemical plants. So don't store chemicals in plastic water tanks to save costs.
