1 Immersion method
Refers to the method of immersing a test gas cylinder filled with compressed gas at a specified pressure in a water tank to test the air tightness of the pressure vessel.
The water immersion method is suitable for the air tightness inspection of the entire Dewar or any part of the gas cylinder.
2 Liquid coating method
Refers to the method of applying test liquid to certain parts of the tested Dewar bottle filled with compressed gas at a specified pressure to check the air tightness of the cylinder.
The liquid coating method is suitable for testing the air tightness of the screw connection of the bottle valve of the pressure vessel, the valve stem of the bottle valve, the fusible plug or the local part of the gas cylinder.

3.3 The air tightness test pressure of gas cylinders should not be lower than the air tightness test pressure specified in the Dewar standard or gas cylinder safety supervision regulations.
3.4 A gas storage tank should be installed between the gas compressor and the pressure vessel under test. The gas storage tank must be equipped with a safety valve and an oil and water blowing valve, and the oil and water must be blown off regularly.
