Safety Regulations for Double Oil Tank Farm

The double-layer oil tank area is a fire-prone area, so the pressure vessel manufacturer has formulated the following rules for the personal safety of employees and the company’s interests

1. It is strictly forbidden for employees to wear shoes with nails to enter the pressure vessel area, oil tanks and tank trucks to operate.

2. The double-layer oil tank area should have adequate lighting. Long-distance high-hanging translucent lamps should be used. Generally, there is no lighting on the oil tank, and suitable explosion-proof lamps should be selected when necessary.

3. It is strictly forbidden to pile oil dirt, oil cloth, paper, wood and other sundries in the oil tank area. Pipe trenches and cable trenches shall be kept unblocked, and no oil or garbage shall be accumulated. The sewer system must not store oil, gas and oil leakage.

4. The tank area should be inspected regularly and by personnel. If there is any abnormality, report to the dispatching room and workshop leaders immediately, and take effective measures.

5. It is strictly forbidden to bring igniting or dangerous goods into the double-layer oil tank area.

6. Natural ventilation and forced ventilation should be strengthened in the light oil pump room, knocking and collision are prohibited indoors to prevent sparks.

7. There should be complete fire-fighting facilities and fire-fighting water sources in the tank area, and keep them in good condition; fire-fighting roads should be kept unobstructed and not blocked.

8. The double-layer oil tank area is an important facility of the whole plant, and irrelevant personnel are strictly prohibited from entering.

9. The lightning protection device and anti-static grounding device of the oil tank should be thoroughly inspected once a year.

10. The pipes of different material storage tanks must not be connected. If the storage tank is replaced with different materials, it must be thoroughly cleaned and can be replaced only after passing the inspection to prevent the materials from mixing. 11. If the storage tank pipeline needs to be insulated, the temperature should be strictly controlled to prevent excessively high or low temperatures, which may cause material volatilization or frost damage to the pipeline.

12. Check whether the pipeline sealing performance is good, whether the breathing valve is working normally, whether the breathing valve is frozen in winter, whether the liquid level of the hydraulic safety valve maintains the specified height, whether the pressure vessel flame arrester is damaged or deformed, and whether the oil meter Whether the non-ferrous metal gasket is in good condition, etc.

13. The storage tank should be equipped with a fire dike whose effective volume meets the requirements of the design code. The gaps and holes in the wall of the dike and the gaps between the pipelines passing through the fire dike or the separation dike must all be sealed.

14. There should be recovery systems for the discharge of residual liquid, gas, and dirty oil in the tank farm and production equipment, and it is not allowed to empty or discharge residual liquid arbitrarily.

15. The inlet pipe of the oil storage tank should be entered in the lower part of the tank to avoid static electricity caused by impact and friction. It is strictly forbidden to inject light oil and other flammable liquids into oil tanks, tank trucks and oil drums by free flow. Ventilation and stirring are prohibited in the blending tank.

16. Motor vehicles are generally prohibited from entering the tank area. Under special circumstances, it should be approved by the relevant department and enter with a flame arrestor.

17. The fire-fighting equipment, equipment and tools in the oil tank farm should be complete and complete, and should not be misappropriated at will.
