Maintenance Tips for Liquid Oxygen Storage Tanks
Date: Dec 12, 2019
The liquid oxygen storage tank is mainly used for low-temperature liquid storage of oxygen. It is a storage tank used for the transportation and storage of liquid oxygen. One cubic meter of liquid can replace 130 gas cylinders. It can replace the daily round-trip transportation with gas cylinders, saving a lot of human and material resources. Widely used in the gas industry, hospitals, metal smelting and other large gas users, it is the best product to achieve centralized gas supply.
In order to ensure safety, we need to regularly check the storage tanks to prevent problems. Below are some maintenance tips for liquid O2 storage tanks.
1. Before use, a small amount of liquid oxygen should be put in to pre-cool. When the temperature in the tank reaches the liquid oxygen temperature, fill the liquid oxygen tank with liquid oxygen. Pay attention to the liquid oxygen tank when handling it gently to prevent collision and squeezing. Do not lift it on the ground while moving. When not in use, the liquid oxygen tank should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated room to prevent moisture. 2. It is necessary to check the neck plug and the neck ditch at any time, remove the ice on the neck plug in time, and do not place plastic cloth and other materials on the neck plug to increase the blocking property and ensure the function of the liquid oxygen tank. When it is found that the consumption of liquid oxygen is too fast or water droplets are attached near the neck of the liquid oxygen tank and hoarfrost appears, it means that the tank's insulation function is out of order and it cannot retain liquid oxygen.
3.In order to prevent erosion of the tank wall, the inner cavity of the liquid oxygen tank needs to be cleaned once a year. In addition, the liquid oxygen tank should be minimized in transportation and the number of times the liquid oxygen tank is opened. If transportation is required, it must be secured to the trunk with a rope to keep the liquid oxygen tank upright. Prevent falls, upside down, lying on your back, and prevent severe vibration.
