Liquid oxygen tank system process

According to the chemical nature of industrial gases and fire hazards, there are often independent storage tank supply stations in industrial plants. Independent storage tank supply stations are used to support combustion gases (oxygen) and non-combustible gases (nitrogen, carbon dioxide and argon) ) Liquid cryogenic tank stations are more common. This article mainly takes the liquid oxygen storage tank as an example, combined with the design practice of the liquid oxygen storage tank system in recent years, the general process of the cryogenic liquid oxygen storage tank system is briefly introduced.

The liquid oxygen storage tank system is widely used in the construction of industrial plants because of its large amount of stored gas, simple configuration and convenient use. The liquid oxygen tank is a pressure vessel specially used to store low temperature liquid oxygen. Generally it has a double-shell structure. Two types of vacuum powder or pearl sand vacuum insulation are used in the interlayer. The higher working pressure of the common liquid oxygen tank is generally 0.8MPa. And 1.6MPa. In its application, the liquid oxygen storage tank system is mainly used as an oxygen supply station in factories and filling stations. The liquid oxygen storage tank system is divided into supply system and filling system according to its use function:

1.Liquid storage tank supply system process
The process of the liquid oxygen storage tank supply system is a common process for supplying oxygen in the industrial plant. The main process is: liquid oxygen is input to the liquid oxygen tank via a tank car for storage. The pressure stabilizing system is adjusted to the pressure required by the gas end, which is transported through the pipeline and directly supplied to the gas end.
2. Liquid oxygen tank filling system process
The process of the liquid oxygen tank filling system is a common process of oxygen filling stations. It is mainly used by gas filling companies to supply oxygen for filling oxygen cylinders. The main process is: liquid oxygen is input to the liquid oxygen tank via a tank truck for storage. Oxygen is transported to the low-temperature and high-pressure gasifier by the low-temperature liquid pump, and then changes from the liquid phase to the gas phase. The oxygen is sent to the bus and filled into an empty oxygen cylinder. When the cylinder is filled with compressed gas, the filling pressure should not exceed the maximum allowable working pressure of the cylinder.

In the above two liquid oxygen storage tank system processes, because the liquid oxygen pipeline is extremely cold and easily vaporized, the liquid oxygen pipeline should generally be as short as possible, and corresponding thermal insulation and pipeline stress compensation measures must be adopted. For example: use vacuum insulated low temperature liquid pipes and install expansion joints.
