Lng Dewar filling principle
Date: Aug 20, 2020
1. Filling principle: direct filling by the pressure difference between the storage tank and the Dewar.
Make sure that the medium to be filled is the same as the medium in the Dewar flask. If they are different, they must be filled after the Dewar is completely emptied.
Warning: Before filling the pressure vessel, confirm the medium in the cylinder and the filling medium.
2. Determine the correct total filling weight, that is, the sum of the empty bottle weight, the filling pipeline weight and the maximum filling weight shown on the Dewar nameplate in the "performance parameter table". It is strictly forbidden to overcharge the gas cylinder.
3. Connect the inlet and outlet valves of the Dewar to the supply source, and tighten them with special hoses to prevent leakage.
4. Open the exhaust valve and inlet and outlet valves on the Dewar, open the outlet valve on the storage tank and the check valve on the filling pipe, and start filling.
Warning: Filling should be carried out in a well-ventilated place, because gas accumulation is very dangerous.
5. During the filling process of the pressure vessel, use a pressure gauge to monitor the pressure in the cylinder, and adjust the discharge valve to keep the pressure between 0.07 and 0.1mpa (10-15psi).
6. During the entire filling process, you must pay attention to the pressure of the inner lining of the Dewar and adjust the "vent valve" to keep the pressure of the inner lining at 10-15 psig (excluding carbon dioxide liquid).
7. When the total filling weight is reached, close the inlet and outlet valves and outlet valves on the Dewar. 8. Close the shut-off valve in the filling pipe and open the exhaust valve in the filling pipe to empty the remaining liquid and gas in the filling pipe.
9. Remove the hose and Dewar from the scale.
Note: The pressure of the filled Dewar rises rapidly, which may cause the safety valve to open.
Note: After the operation on liquid oxygen or LNG, please be careful not to smoke or approach a fire immediately because it may splash with liquid oxygen or LNG.
Note: When the saturation pressure of liquid carbon dioxide drops to 0.48mpa (70psi), the liquid carbon dioxide will form solid dry ice. Fill liquid with 1751/195/210 and 4991 Dewar flasks
When carbon dioxide is oxidized, the carbon dioxide gas in the cylinder must be filled.
