Introduction to Hydrostatic Testing of LNG Storage Tank

When we want to ensure the production quality of the cryogenic LNG tank, we need to take some effective measures. So what measures are more practical for LNG storage tanks? Let's take a look at a good method-hydraulic pressure test.
In order to guarantee the production quality of LNG storage tanks, a hydrostatic test is required:
1. Classify the liquid LNG tanks that need to be hydrostatically tested, because the liquid LNG tanks of different materials have different hydraulic pressure test methods;
2. Secondly, when the LNG storage tank is finished production, it needs to be tested for water pressure. If there are requirements for the core extraction test, then clean water should be used for the water pressure test ; 3. When performing pressure test, you can first perform detailed test on the pressure test system. It mainly tests the tightness of the interface and connection points of each system, and whether it is correct in installation;
4. Prepare the liquid LNG tank that needs water pressure test for pressure and water filling. For voltage stabilization, it takes about 30 minutes, and then check the deformation and leakage. If there is no abnormal situation, then It can be designed for pressure, but it still takes about 30 minutes, and then detailed inspection of the sealing surface, mainly including the position of the weld seam, and the situation of the entire leak.
