In the industry, liquid nitrogen is obtained by fractional distillation of air. After purifying the air, it is liquefied in a pressurized, cooled environment and separated by the boiling points of the components in the air.
 
The storage and transportation of liquid nitrogen needs to be stored in a cryogenic vacuum liquid nitrogen storage tank. In order to ensure safety, we need to regularly check the storage tank to prevent problems. The following describes some maintenance techniques for cryogenic liquid nitrogen storage tanks.
 
Before use, a small amount of liquid nitrogen should be placed to pre-cool. When the temperature in the tank reaches the liquid nitrogen temperature, the liquid nitrogen is filled into the tank. It is necessary to take care when taking the liquid nitrogen tank, to prevent collision and squeezing, and to lift it when it is not allowed to move on the ground. When not in use, the LN2 storage tank should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated room to prevent moisture. Always check the neck and neck small groove, remove the ice on the neck plug in time, can not put plastic cloth and other substances on the neck plug, increase the blockade, and ensure the use of LN2 tank. When it is found that the liquid nitrogen consumption is too fast or there is water droplets and hoarfrost in the vicinity of the neck of the liquid nitrogen tank, it means that the insulation function of the liquid nitrogen storage tank is out of regulation, and liquid nitrogen cannot be retained.
 
In order to prevent erosion of the tank wall, the inner chamber of the liquid nitrogen tank needs to be cleaned once a year. Also note that liquid nitrogen tanks should minimize transportation and reduce the number of liquid nitrogen tanks that can be opened. If it needs to be transported, it must be fixed to the car with a rope to keep the liquid nitrogen tank upright. Prevent falling, overturning, lying down, and try to prevent severe vibration.
