Common problems and solutions for cryogenic storage tanks

Cryogenic storage tank is a very important device for containing gas. It plays a very prominent role in the industry and is also a very strict storage tank. But even this does not guarantee that it will not cause problems. In fact, lng storage tanks, liquid oxygen storage tanks, etc., will have some problems over a long period of time. The key is that we must find the problems in time and solve them in a timely manner. Let's take a look at what will happen to the low temperature storage tanks and how to solve them.
1. The evaporation of the cryogenic storage tank becomes larger and the vacuum degree becomes smaller. It may be the cause of the deflated pearlescent sand. Pearlescent sand has certain particle size and temperature requirements during filling. When the particle size and temperature of pearlescent sand are not suitable, after running for a period of time, pearlescent sand will release water vapor, reduce the vacuum degree and increase the amount of evaporation.
2. The "sweat" on the top of the outer cylinder of the cryogenic storage tank may be caused by the accumulation of pearlescent sand in the lower part. After being put into use for a period of time, the pearlescent sand sinks, forming space on the top of the container, and part of the thermal insulation effect is significantly reduced, which causes the container to run cold. In this case, if the evaporation volume is large, the top of the jacket outer tube can be dug out and added with pearlescent sand. 3. There are obvious large areas of "sweating" and "frosting" outside the storage tank. It may be caused by leakage of the pipeline in the interlayer of the storage tank, unfilled pearlescent sand, or other reasons that cause the vacuum degree of the interlayer to be damaged. The storage tank needs to be inspected and corrected, or leaked, or filled with pearlescent sand, and evacuated again.
4. The pressure of the cylinder in the storage tank rises abnormally, and the safety valve jumps. It may be caused by the following three reasons: a. The vacuum degree of the storage tank is damaged; b. The inner cylinder pressure valve fails, and the pressure valve needs to be repaired or replaced; c. The leakage part in the lower part of the interface is in stainless steel and carbon The welding place of the steel shell, or the joint of the copper pipe and the stainless steel inner tube, that is, the dissimilar welding joint, mainly causes electrochemical corrosion at the dissimilar welding joint.
