Precautions for using liquid nitrogen cryogenic storage tank
Date: Nov 26, 2019
1.inspection before use
Before filling the liquid nitrogen Cryogenic storage tank, first check whether the shell is sunken and whether the vacuum vent is intact. If it is damaged, the vacuum degree will be reduced. If it is serious, the air inlet cannot be insulated. In this way, the upper part of the tank will be frosted, the loss of liquid nitrogen will be large, and the value of continuous use will be lost. Secondly, check the inside of the liquid nitrogen cryogenic tank. If there is any foreign matter, it must be taken out to prevent the tank from corrosion.
2. Inspection during use
The liquid nitrogen low temperature storage tank shall be inspected frequently during use. The tank shell can be observed with eyes or touched with hands. If frost is found on the surface, the tank shall be stopped; especially when the inner wall of the neck pipe is covered with frost and ice, it is not suitable to use a knife to scrape, so as to prevent the inner wall of the neck pipe from being damaged, resulting in poor vacuum. Instead, the liquid nitrogen shall be taken out and allowed to melt naturally.
3. filling of liquid nitrogen
Be careful when filling the liquid nitrogen low temperature storage tank. For the new tank or the low-temperature tank in the dry state, it must be filled slowly and precooled to prevent the tank from being damaged by cooling too fast and reduce the service life. When filling liquid nitrogen in low temperature liquid nitrogen storage tank, do not pour liquid nitrogen on the vacuum exhaust port, so as to avoid the decrease of vacuum degree.
The cover plug is made of thermal insulation material, which can not only prevent evaporation of liquid nitrogen, but also play the role of fixing the lifting cylinder. Therefore, it is necessary to minimize the wear when opening and closing, so as to prolong the service life. 4. placement of low temperature liquid nitrogen storage tank
Liquid nitrogen Cryogenic storage tank shall be stored in a well ventilated and cool place, and shall not be directly exposed to the sun. Due to its precise manufacturing and inherent characteristics, liquid nitrogen low temperature storage tanks are not allowed to be dumped no matter in use or storage.
