Painting technology and precautions of cryogenic storage tank

When painting cryogenic storage tank, pay attention to the surrounding environment. The ambient temperature for coating construction of cryogenic storage tank is no less than 5 degrees, and the relative humidity is no more than 85%. It is forbidden to carry out outdoor construction in case of rain, snow, fog and strong wind.
If there is crystal on the surface of the coating, it is not allowed to carry out construction, so as not to affect the quality of cryogenic storage tank. During the coating and drying process, the paint film is not fully exposed under the hot sun, The surface temperature of the tank of the coated parts shall not exceed 60 ℃, and the construction area must be free of flying foreign matters during the process of air circulation, coating and dry inlay of the paint film.
The spraying process of cryogenic storage tank is as follows:
1. Strictly carry out the pretreatment of tank coating to make the surface of pressure vessel free of oil, rust, oxide film, welding spatter, dust and other mechanical impurities.
2. Use the grinding method to remove the uneven and scratch on the surface of the storage tank, as well as the uneven and different thickness defects of the weld during the butt joint, so as to make the surface of the pressure vessel smooth. The tank is not allowed to be scratched;
3. Use high-pressure airless spraying equipment or ordinary air spray gun to spray a layer of primer on the storage tank. The primer to be sprayed shall not have defects such as missed spraying, flow mark, wrinkle, uneven surface, etc;
4. After the primer of the pressure vessel is completely dry, the surface of the primer of the storage tank shall be roughly polished with abrasive cloth, and then the surface of the primer shall be finely polished with water abrasive paper until the surface of the storage tank is smooth and even;
5. Spray the second primer with ordinary air spray gun, and the primer shall be free of defects such as missing spraying, flow mark, wrinkle, uneven surface, etc;
6.After the second primer of the storage tank is completely dried, the dry film thickness of the primer applied to the storage tank shall be tested with a special side inspection instrument. It is required that the dry film thickness of the primer applied to the pressure vessel shall not be less than 30 microns, and then the common air spray gun shall be used to spray the semi smooth or matte finish. It is required that the sprayed finish shall be free of defects such as missing spraying, bubble, crack, wrinkle, uneven surface and peeling.
No Repair shall be carried out; the painted finish shall be uniform and firm, and the thickness of pressure vessel coating can be detected with special side inspection instrument if necessary.
