precautions for use of liquid oxygen storage tank

By Manager
Date: Dec 16, 2019
precautions for use of liquid oxygen storage tank:
1. The gas cylinder of liquid oxygen storage tank shall be placed in a well ventilated place with a distance of not less than 1.5m from the fire source and heat source. It is strictly forbidden to bake the gas cylinder with fire, scald it with boiling water or expose it to the sun. It is necessary to check the air tightness of the valve and pipe joint of the gas cylinder frequently, keep it free of air leakage, use soap water to check the air leakage, and use open fire to test the leakage.

2. When igniting, the igniter shall be ignited first, and then the gas shall be opened. This sequence shall not be reversed. In the process of use, it shall be guarded and shall not leave. In order to prevent the water from boiling and overflowing and pouring to extinguish the fire, which may cause the explosion due to the channeling of liquefied gas. After the gas cylinder is used, the valve shall be closed to prevent air leakage

3. The liquefied gas in the cylinder of liquid oxygen storage tank cannot be used up, and some residual pressure shall be reserved, which shall be generally greater than 49.03kpa (i.e. 0.5kg/cm2 gauge pressure), so as to prevent air from entering the cylinder. After the liquefied petroleum gas is used up, the residual liquid in the cylinder is also a kind of inflammable substance, which shall not be dumped by itself, so as to prevent fire caused by the flow and evaporation of residual liquid.

4. LPG cylinder is a kind of pressure vessel, which should be well maintained and regularly inspected. During the process of handling and use, it should be prevented from falling or hitting. It is not allowed to knock on the valve with an iron tool to open the cylinder. It should be prevented from direct sunlight and long-term rain. Generally, the cylinder should be inspected once every two years.

Maintenance method of liquid oxygen cryogenic storage tank:
The inner cavity of the liquid oxygen cryogenic storage tank shall be cleaned once a year to prevent erosion of the tank wall. Before cleaning, the liquid nitrogen in the tank shall be drained, and it shall be stored in the room for 2-3 days and preheated to the room temperature. After that, it shall be washed and wiped with neutral washing powder, and then washed and dried with clean water.

The temperature of the cleaning liquid and clean water shall not exceed 40 ℃ to prevent overheating affecting the function of the tank. The number of transportation and cover opening shall be minimized in the liquid oxygen storage tank. If transportation is required, it shall be fixed on the truck body with rope, and kept upright to prevent collision, overturning and lying horizontally, and avoid violent vibration as much as possible.
