The tank vault weighing more than 850 tons was raised under the action of four blowers, and the largest and independently designed LNG storage tank in China was successfully upgraded, which laid the foundation for the completion of the project in 2020. solid foundation.

As a key process in the installation and construction of large-scale LNG storage tanks, gas-lifting top has the characteristics of complex process, high technical content, and difficulty in operation and control. According to the relevant person of the project's contractor, China Nuclear Five Corporation, the tank installation air lift top technology is characterized by the use of a multi-blower to continuously deliver low-pressure air to the confined space, so that the tank top can be used to form a closed space between the dome structure and the outer wall of the tank. The steel structure rises to the design height according to a predetermined path and is connected to the tank top pressure ring. It is understood that Shanghai LNG construction tanks No. 4 and No. 5 are 200,000 cubic meters of full-capacity storage tanks. It is currently the largest and independently designed LNG cryogenic storage tank in China, and is listed as a major project in Shanghai in 2018.
