- Boil-Off Gas: Even with excellent insulation, some amount of cryogenic liquid will always evaporate, creating boil-off gas. Regular checks on the venting system are necessary to manage this.
- Frost Formation: Since cryogenic tanks operate at very low temperatures, moisture in the surrounding air can freeze on the tank’s outer surface, creating frost. Monitoring frost patterns is a good way to detect insulation issues.
