Carbon dioxide (CO₂) is a gas widely used in industrial and commercial applications. A CO₂ tank is a device specially designed for storing and transporting CO₂. This article will introduce the basic structure, types and working principle of a CO₂ tank.

Basic structure
CO₂ tanks usually consist of the following main parts:

Tank: Usually made of high-strength steel to withstand high pressure.

Insulation: There is usually a layer of insulation material on the outside to prevent gas leakage due to changes in external temperature.

Valves and pipes: Used to control the inflow and outflow of gas.

Pressure gauges and safety devices: Used to monitor internal pressure and prevent overpressure.

Types
Low-pressure tanks: Used to store liquid CO₂, usually with an operating pressure between 20 and 24 bar and a temperature of around -18°C.

High-pressure tanks: Used to store gaseous CO₂, usually with an operating pressure between 50 and 60 bar.

Mobile tanks: Installed on vehicles and used to transport CO₂.

Working principle
CO₂ is stored in liquid form in the tank, and the temperature and pressure are controlled to ensure that it remains stable during transportation and use. Liquid carbon dioxide in storage tanks can be converted into a gaseous state by reducing pressure and heating for use in a variety of industrial and commercial applications.
