Composition of liquefied petroleum gas
LPG is a colourless volatile liquid obtained from petroleum processing.
LPG is a colourless volatile liquid obtained from petroleum processing, the main components of which are propane, propylene, butane, butene, and contains a small amount of pentane, pentene and trace impurities such as hydrogen sulphide. It is mainly used as civil fuel, engine fuel, raw material for hydrogen production, heating furnace fuel and gas fuel for lighters, etc. It can also be used as raw material for petrochemical industry. Extremely flammable, can form explosive mixtures when mixed with air, and there is a danger of combustion and explosion when it meets heat source or open flame. It is heavier than air, can spread to far away places in low places, and will catch fire when ignition source is ignited.
