Cryogenic storage Dewar structural features
Cryogenic storage dewar is divided into internal liquid container and external vacuum insulation
Internal liquid container: The internal liquid container is usually made of stainless steel, fiberglass or other corrosion-resistant materials and is used to contain liquid gases, such as liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, etc. This inner container must have good sealing properties to prevent leakage of liquid gas. It is usually designed in a cylindrical or spherical shape to minimize surface area and reduce heat conduction.
External Vacuum Insulation: The internal liquid container is placed within an external vacuum insulation. This insulation usually consists of a vacuum space between two metal shells, and insulating materials are sometimes added to further reduce heat conduction. The existence of the vacuum layer effectively prevents heat in the external environment from entering the internal liquid container through conduction and convection, thereby maintaining the low temperature of the internal liquid.
