Horizontal LPG storage tanks are those in which the long axis of the tank is parallel to the ground and the tank is placed horizontally. Horizontal LPG storage tanks are usually of circular or oval design, which minimises the surface area of the tank and thus reduces the evaporation loss of LPG. The structure of a horizontal storage tank generally consists of a tank body, a tank roof, a tank bottom and a support system. The tank body is the main part for storing LPG and is generally made of welded steel plates. The roof of the tank is usually a dome or hemispherical roof, which has good sealing performance and can prevent the outside air from entering the tank. The bottom of the tank is generally a flat bottom or round bottom, which can withstand the pressure of the liquid inside the tank, and the liquid is loaded and unloaded through the liquid discharge port at the bottom. The support system is used to support the tank to ensure its stability.
