Installation of safety valve of liquid oxygen storage tank
The installation of safety valves for liquid oxygen storage tanks usually requires solving the following problems:
1. The safety valve should be installed vertically and installed in the gas phase space above the liquid level of the pressure vessel, or connected to a pipeline connected to the gas phase space of the liquid oxygen storage tank.
2. The cross-sectional area of the connecting pipe and fittings between the pressure vessel and the safety valve shall not be smaller than the inlet area of the pressure vessel safety valve.
3. When several safety valves are installed on one connection port of a liquid oxygen storage tank, the inlet area of the connection port should be at least equal to the sum of the inlet areas of the safety valves of several pressure vessels.
4. It is not suitable to install an intermediate stop valve between the liquid oxygen storage tank and the safety valve. For pressure vessels containing flammable, extremely, highly, moderately hazardous or viscous media, in order to facilitate the replacement and cleaning of the safety valve of the pressure vessel, a stop valve can be installed between the liquid oxygen storage tank and the safety valve. The structure and diameter size should not hinder the normal discharge of the pressure vessel safety valve. When the liquid oxygen storage tank is operating normally, the stop valve must be kept fully open and sealed.
