A Cryogenic storage Dewar is a container specifically designed to store extremely cryogenic liquids. It usually consists of two parts, the inner and outer parts. The inner part is a stainless steel or fiberglass tank that holds the liquid, and the outer part is a vacuum insulation layer to isolate the internal low-temperature liquid from the external environment.
This container is designed to minimize heat conduction and radiation to maintain extremely low temperatures of the stored materials. Typically, the temperature of the internal liquid can be as low as liquid nitrogen temperature (approximately -196°C) or even lower. The vacuum insulation layer effectively reduces the thermal impact of the external environment on the internal liquid by reducing gas conduction and convection, thereby achieving long-term low-temperature storage.
