Leakage treatment measures for liquid nitrogen storage tanks
When a liquid nitrogen storage tank leaks, improper handling may lead to serious consequences such as frostbite or suffocation. First, the on-site personnel should be evacuated immediately and away from the leakage area. Secondly, cut off the source of liquid nitrogen and close the relevant valves to prevent further leakage. If the liquid nitrogen has volatilized, the on-site ventilation should be strengthened to quickly reduce the nitrogen concentration in the air and restore the normal oxygen level. During the handling process, the operator must wear personal protective equipment to avoid contact with liquid nitrogen or inhalation of high-concentration nitrogen. After the leak is controlled, the equipment should be fully inspected to find out the cause of the leak and repair it to ensure safety when it is used again.
