Safety precautions during pre-cooling of LNG cryogenic storage tanks include: paying attention to the valve closing sequence to avoid the cryogenic liquid being blocked:
checking for leaks at hose connections;
observing the pressure rise in pipelines and storage tanks;
checking for frost on safety valves;
checking for cracks on cryogenic materials and pipeline welding parts;
checking pipeline shrinkage and changes in pipe support;
checking the sealing and flexibility of cryogenic valves;
checking for leaks at flange connections;
leaving liquid nitrogen for two to three days to observe changes in liquid level and pressure, and detecting changes in tank vacuum.
