The manufacturing process of LNG storage tanks mainly includes material preparation and inspection, inner cylinder production, outer tank production, assembly and welding, quality inspection and acceptance, and anti-corrosion and thermal insulation treatment.

During the material preparation stage, materials such as stainless steel need to be strictly re-inspected to ensure that they meet the design requirements. The production of the inner cylinder includes the steps of cylinder segment processing, rolling, longitudinal seam welding, head production and assembly, and the size and welding quality must be strictly controlled. The outer tank body is usually a prestressed concrete structure. When making it, attention should be paid to the compression, impermeability and frost resistance of the concrete. During the assembly process, the inner cylinder must be accurately positioned at the center of the outer tank and accessories must be installed. Quality inspection covers non-destructive testing, dimensional inspection and pressure testing to ensure that the storage tank is safe and reliable. Finally, the storage tank is treated with anti-corrosion and thermal insulation to extend its service life and reduce evaporation losses.
