When the facilities around the area of the LNG leakage fire are threatened by the burning heat of the flames, the storage tanks, equipment and pipelines that are not on fire should be insulated and cooled down. For extinguishing the fire, a dry powder fire extinguishing system can be used, which is an effective measure for fighting larger fires. For the leakage of smaller fires, carbon dioxide, halothane can be used to fight. If the process conditions permit, the LNG storage tanks in the event of a fire to take measures to reduce the level of the tank, such as pouring, in order to reduce the risk of fire.
