LNG tank welds must be 100% magnetic particle tested (MT) and 100% vacuum tightness tested (VBT).
The cold insulation materials must be strictly selected and the prescribed procedures should be followed during construction. To prevent cracks in the concrete, post-tensioning prestressing construction is used, and the verticality of the tank wall is strictly controlled. The concrete outer tank top should have high compressive and tensile resistance and be able to withstand the impact of general falling objects; because the concrete at the bottom of the tank is thick, the hydration temperature must be controlled during pouring to prevent cracking caused by temperature stress.
