Their main factors and properties are not the same.

LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) is the mixture of the propane and butane, normally accompanied by little propylene and butene. A strong odorant, ethyl mercaptan, is usually added so that the leakage of petroleum gas can be easily detected. Liquefied petroleum gas is produced when refining crude oil, or the gas evaporated from the process of oil or natural gas extraction.

Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is often misunderstood as propane. In fact, LPG is a mixture of oil and natural gas under applicable pressure and exists in form of liquid at room temperature. The main element of LNG is methane, which is tintless, odorless,non-toxic andnon-corrosive. Its volume is about 1/625 of the volume of the same amount of gaseous natural gas, and the mass of liquefied natural gas is only about 45% of the same volume of water.
