LPG gas tank design of temperature and pressure
Gas Tank Design Temperature
The design working temperature of LPG storage tank is -20-40℃, and the medium is flammable and explosive gas.
When the temperature drops from 50C to -25C, the saturated vapor pressure of various components drops very much, and it can be inferred that the stress level caused by saturated vapor pressure will not be very high at low temperature. Therefore, take the highest design temperature t = 50C, the lowest design temperature t = -25 ℃. According to the environment where the tank is located, the highest temperature is dangerous temperature, so t=50°C is chosen as the design temperature.
Gas Tank Design Pressure
The gas tank is used for LPG storage and distribution supply station, so it belongs to normal temperature pressure storage. The working pressure is the saturated vapor pressure at the corresponding temperature. Therefore, no insulation is required, i.e. the tank is a single layer design.
