The water pump is connected to the fire water pipe and the fire water tank to ensure the continuity and reliability of the water supply. The pump outlet of the two pipelines must be equipped with check valves, once the pressure of the LPG pipeline is large, LPG will not reverse into the fire water pipeline. saturated vapour pressure of LPG at room temperature is high, about 0.4 MPa ~ 0.8 MPa, so the pump should be selected to choose a higher head pump to ensure that the water enters the storage tank smoothly. It is advisable to connect a spare pump in parallel, the situation is dangerous when two pumps can work at the same time, more reliable.
Once the leak is found in production, find the leak point, when it is judged that other methods are difficult to implement, immediately turn on the pump to inject water. If the leak is small, the temperature around the leak drops rapidly due to the rapid gasification and heat absorption of LPG during the leak, and the water reaches the leak and freezes when it is cold to form an ice plug, which can play a temporary role in plugging the leak. If the leak point is too large to form an ice plug, continue to inject water into the tank.
