LPG tank corrosion and durability issues
LPG tanks are prone to corrosion when exposed to the external environment for a long time, especially in humid or marine climate environments. The corrosion problem is particularly serious on the surface of the tank and the parts that come into contact with the liquid, especially the bottom of underground or semi-underground tanks. Corrosion not only affects the appearance of the tank, but may also cause the material strength to decrease and increase the risk of leakage. To prevent corrosion, the tank needs to be made of corrosion-resistant materials, such as low-temperature steel or alloy steel, and treated with anti-corrosion coatings. Regularly check the corrosion of the tank surface and welds, and extend the service life of the tank through cathodic protection or coating maintenance.
