LPG Tank

lpg cylinders are easy to use and portable, but in use, attention should be paid to the following: cylinders should be placed in a well-ventilated place, and the distance between them and fire and heat sources should not be less than 1.5 m.

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a term that describes a group of hydrocarbon gases derived from crude oil and/or natural gas. LPG is produced by distilled natural gas about 55% and crude oil refineries about 45%.

Safety: Keep away from anyone other than liquefied petroleum gas workers. site visitors and others not involved in the installation. Use non-smoking electronics or park near the fuel tank. Signs such as “No Smoking” must be prominently placed and unoccupied.

Ventilation and Tank Environment: Sufficient space must be provided around the tank for adequate airflow. It is important to keep the area around the tank clean and free of debris to prevent the formation of heavier-than-air LPG vapors in the event of a leak.

Tank Installation: A minimum clearance is required. (referred to as the distance between tanks) between a tank and a building, surrounding or fixed source of ignition. This must be checked when installing the tank.

Choice of valve fittings and flanges: manhole covers, safety valves, manual air bleed valves.

Automatic warning device: Storage tanks with a volume greater than 100 m3 must be equipped with a liquid level gauge and a remote display pressure gauge.

Precautions for the use of liquefied petroleum gas storage tanks 1. In order to ensure the safe operation of liquefied petroleum gas storage tanks, the working pressure and temperature must be adjusted. Protect LPG storage tanks from overheating and overpressure.

A level gauge is a device used to indicate the liquid level of liquefied petroleum gas in a storage tank. The commonly used level gauges for liquefied petroleum gas storage tanks are clear glass level gauges and magnetic float level gauges.

Manometer: In order to control and monitor the pressure inside the storage tank, a manometer must be installed on the storage tank. Pressure gauges on liquefied petroleum gas storage tanks usually include direct reading pressure gauges such as conventional spring hose pressure gauges. Diaphragm pressure gauges and non-contact remote pressure gauges

Emergency shut-off valve: An emergency shut-off valve is a valve that can be manually or automatically closed quickly in an emergency. Avoid continuous accidents by quickly shutting off the gas source. Emergency shut-off valves are hydraulically divided. There are air type, electric type, and manual type.
