Maintenance and inspection of liquid argon storage tanks
Regular inspection of the tank body: The outer surface, inner surface and welding parts of the liquid argon storage tank need to be inspected regularly to ensure that there are no cracks, corrosion or other structural damage.
Valve maintenance: Cryogenic valves may leak after a period of use. If a slight leak is found in the upper screw cap, the packing screw cap should be tightened; if the valve core cannot be closed, the valve core needs to be replaced. Valve maintenance also includes frequent opening to prevent the BOG air pressure from being too high.
Liquid level control: The normal storage liquid level limit of the storage tank is 95%, the minimum value is 15%, and it cannot be less than 3 meters. This helps to avoid the increase of gas space caused by low liquid level, thereby reducing safety hazards.
