Requirements for cryogenic carbon dioxide storage tanks
Cryogenic carbon dioxide storage tanks are used to store liquid carbon dioxide (CO₂) and adopt a double-layer structure.
Cryogenic carbon dioxide storage tanks are used to store liquid carbon dioxide (CO₂) and adopt a double-layer structure. The inner layer is used to store liquid carbon dioxide, and the outer layer is used as an insulation layer. This design can effectively isolate external heat and maintain a low-temperature environment.
Storage tanks and pipelines need to use low-temperature resistant materials, such as low-temperature stainless steel (such as 304L, 316L) or other alloys suitable for low-temperature environments. These materials can maintain their strength and toughness at low temperatures to prevent embrittlement or cracking.
Insulation materials: In order to reduce heat exchange, storage tanks usually need to be equipped with effective insulation layers. For example, vacuum insulation, foam insulation or other high-efficiency insulation materials can reduce the impact of external heat on the inside of the tank.
