The siphon effect uses gravity and the fluidity of the liquid to extract the liquid CO2 from the tank through a siphon. One end of the siphon is located at or near the bottom of the tank, and the other end discharges the liquid to a lower place or container. The liquid is transferred from a high place to a low place through the flow of the pipe.

This method is usually used in the storage and distribution system of liquid CO2. For example, in an industrial storage tank of liquid CO2, the siphon system can deliver liquid CO2 to where it is needed, such as a production line, packaging equipment, etc.
