Liquid nitrogen storage tanks usually use vacuum insulation to effectively maintain the low temperature of liquid nitrogen. The following is the general working principle of vacuum insulation method for liquid nitrogen storage tanks:

Double-shell design: Liquid nitrogen storage tanks usually adopt a double-shell design, with a container inside and outside. The inner container is used to store liquid nitrogen, while the outer container forms a vacuum insulation layer. The vacuum layer formed between the two containers can effectively reduce heat conduction.

Vacuum extraction and sealing: When manufacturing liquid nitrogen storage tanks, the space between the inner and outer containers is usually evacuated by vacuum extraction equipment to form a high vacuum environment. The sealing system then ensures that this vacuum environment continues to exist, preventing outside air from entering and affecting the insulation effect.

Support structures and support materials: Provide support structures or support materials around the inner container to ensure that the inner container will not be deformed by external pressure. This helps maintain the stability and effectiveness of the vacuum layer.

Insulation material filling: Filling the insulation material between the inner and outer containers, usually using foam glass, foam plastic or vacuum insulation material. These materials can reduce heat conduction and improve thermal insulation.

Reduce thermal bridging: To minimize the effects of thermal bridging, the design needs to avoid introducing thermally conductive materials or connections between the inner and outer containers. This ensures the efficiency of the insulation system.
