Vacuum insulation of LNG storage tanks
Vacuum insulation of LNG (liquefied natural gas) tanks is an efficient thermal insulation technology that ensures a low temperature environment inside the tank.
Vacuum insulation of LNG (liquefied natural gas) tanks is an efficient thermal insulation technology that ensures a low temperature environment inside the tank.
The vacuum insulation system almost completely isolates heat conduction by creating a vacuum layer between the inner and outer walls of the tank. The gas density in a vacuum is extremely low, and there is almost no heat transfer. In the vacuum layer, multiple layers of reflective materials (such as aluminum foil) are usually set to reduce the conduction of radiant heat. These reflective materials can effectively reflect radiant heat and prevent heat from entering the tank through radiation.
